For your convenience, The Concealed Carry Institute offers a free Renewal Reminder Service to holders of Concealed Handgun Permits.

Virginia’s Concealed Handgun Permit is issued for five year terms. Unlike the Division of Motor Vehicles reminding you that your drivers’ license or vehicle registration is about to expire, your circuit court will not send you a renewal notice, and once expired, a person must apply as a new applicant rather than as a renewal.

Regardless of which state issued your permit, and whether you receive notification from their Concealed Handgun Permit issuing agency or court to renew, take advantage of this convenient reminder service.
